BAO VUONG

Born in late 1970s Vietnam, Bao Vuong's family fled by sea when he was just one year old, eventually finding refuge in France. Growing up with a sense of uprooting, his art delves into buried memories, exploring light and darkness. In his black monochrome painting series entitled “ The Crossing “, the viewer can see and experience the contemplation of “ light in the darkness “. Between presence and absence, softness and roughness, the imaginary and the interpretation collide, leaving us to face ourselves and our own history.
